The food is great, but the cashier that was working today have attitude about messing her up. We only asked if the total was right cause one of the items was buy one get one free and she acts like she knows what she is doing and talks back to the customer. She claims that I am going to make her make a mistake. Really rude I would say. Such a b. The Boss or Manager needs to talk to her. This on 3/24/2013 around 10-11am.

Located in the San Gabriel Superstore Market this cafe lets you get down on dim sum all day errrrday. While it will not be the best dim sum you've ever had in your life it does have other things going for it: 1) It's cheap. It's around $1.30 an order which is much cheaper than what you're going to pay at a seafood restaurant 2) It's convenient. For the fellas, you can let the women shop at the market while you get your grub on (Women, please don't kick me). Similarly if you're a family, the little ones can eat here while an adult breaks off to do the shopping 3) It's actually quite decent food. I always get the shrimp rice noodle and 4) As previously mentioned, they serve dim sum all day so you can get your fix ANYTIME you want.Oh yah as others have mentioned they don't speak English. But that's not really a problem if you know how to point at things and pay them cash only =)

Great place to get quick dim sum. I enjoyed the chicken feet and haw gow which was also very well priced. There is also a great sitting area where you can enjoy the food.A negative is that it can be hard to order. The ladies tend to take orders not by who is in line first but who is the loudest. Also communication through English is challenging...

I like quick dim sum minus the long waits at dim sum restaurants but there's a price to pay because it doesn't taste AS good but it gets the job done. When I mean it doesn't taste "as" good, I'm speaking in terms of how fresh and how soft the dumpling skin may be. The dumplings here taste and are prepared like they were quickly heated in a microwave rather than properly steamed. Since I'm hungry and a dim sum fanatic, I don't care because the price is low and I could buy a lot for little! It's nice that is located in the San Gabriel Superstore because then I could grocery shop and get a quick snack here too! Yay for dim sum!

Cash Only.THEY DON'T SPEAK ENGLISH!!! Bring a friend that speaks Chinese [Mandarin/Cantonese] or bust out your broken Chinese. hahaFood is pretty good! They give a lot for little pay! But they bumped up the prices by... 50 cents I believe : /The store is rather dirty. Once you walk in, you feel icky because it reminds you of Chinatown..Food is good though :)OH! Warning!!! You have to make sure you order when it's your turn. Chinese people DO NOT know how to line up/form lines or what not. So they'll cut right infront of you if you don't order. They're crazy. but that's how it is in China too.. or in most foreign countries. Okay you get the point.

** You get what you pay for here **Yum Cha Cafe used to have the best value dims sum and cantonese food in value. They dim sum now cost $1.39 up from $.99 cents. I used to grave their hainan chicken, excellent portion and great tasting rice in the bottom, now everything is wrong from the chicken is way too thin, hardly any meats, just mostly bones, the cabbage doesn't match the chicken, and the rice is no longer flavorful as used to. Their dim sum quality always been badly to average, but price just is not good deal.Thumps Up:+ Many different type of Cantonese dish from Dim Sum to BBQ.+ Cheapest food of its type in SGV.+ They noodle dish is quite large portion for the money.Thumbs Down:- They charge $.25 for just "tap" water.- Hainan chicken quality has when down significantly.- Majority of Dim Sum is among the worst you find in SGV.- Price is hard to read and is mostly posting in the wall, constant increase the price.Note:* Cash Only* Staff doesn't really speak English. My 2 CentsOnly way I suggest you come here, if you want the cheapest dim sum in SGV and do not care about its taste and want it fast. I post many photos, please take a look and judge it yourself, also most of the price is showing in the photos.

Love this Yum Cha. If you stick around to eat there, you're going to encounter some nasty dirty tables but whatever. I deal with it for the price of the dim sum. It's cheap. It's good. It's practically served all day. :D You can get by ordering in English. Woo!

Cheap, cheap ready to go dim sum. CASH ONLY. It's nice that they're open at off hours, but when they are the stuff isn't particularly hot. I'd take home and reheat to my own liking. I only dine in when I need to, the tables are kinda sticky and have a grungy feel.

Good service and efficient workers. My only complaint is that they went with packets for sauces instead of ones they made. The packet ones are nasty...=/One of the best places for value dim sum in SGV!

I should have listened to other reviews on here. The food was lukewarm. Okay tasting dimsum. Terrible porridge, barely any flavor. Total was $10 for my meal, rather go somewhere else for lunch. Getting cheap dimsum was a bad idea.
